How does the Direct 7-day free trial work?: Download the Direct DMG, open it, tap “Try Pro”. Every Pro feature unlocks immediately for 7 days. No credit card, no signup, no auto-charge. Mac App Store subscriptions are separate and managed by Apple.
What happens after the Direct trial?: If you don't subscribe after the Direct trial, StoreShield enters read-only mode: you can still open the app and browse your past scan results, but running a new scan requires Pro. Subscribe anytime to regain full access. Your history is preserved.
Do I need an account?: No. The Direct 7-day trial runs entirely on your Mac. Direct Pro subscriptions use a signed license file after checkout. Mac App Store subscriptions are managed by Apple.
Can I use Pro on multiple Macs?: Yes for Direct: one license activates up to 3 Macs at the same time. Mac App Store access follows the Apple Account used for the purchase.
What if Apple rejects my app anyway?: StoreShield catches the most common rejection causes from public guidelines, but Apple's review is partly subjective and no tool can guarantee approval. If you receive a rejection, you can forward us the notice. We use real-world rejections to expand our rule set in future updates.

Does the AI feature send my IPA or source code?: No. The optional AI feature only sends issue type, the rule that fired, and a short context string to Anthropic or OpenAI, depending on your selected provider. Strictly enough to generate a useful fix suggestion. Your IPA bytes, source code, screenshots, license file, and personal data never leave your Mac.
Can I disable AI and stay 100% offline?: Yes. AI is OFF by default. Even after enabling it, you can switch back to fully offline mode in one click from the privacy badge in the app header. Your existing scan history is preserved.
