Release notes

StoreShield 2.0.0

Review Room, Submission Pack, local review context, and macOS submission polish.

Major release Released June 2026

StoreShield 2.0.0

StoreShield 2.0 turns the post-scan report into a local review simulator. The goal is simple: see what blocks, what is risky, why StoreShield believes it, and what to export before submission.

Version

2.0.0

Review Room replaces the flat report with Binary Upload, Privacy, SDKs, App Store Connect, Reviewer Notes, and Submit Decision gates.
Each gate shows PASS, RISK, BLOCK, or MANUAL, with evidence, confidence, linked issues, ITMS codes when available, and the next action.
Submission Pack export now includes markdown notes, a reviewer notes draft, fix plan, metadata checklist, mapped ITMS diagnostics, SARIF, PDF, and machine-readable JSON.
Local context import lets you paste or import Transporter logs, ITMS emails, and App Store Connect metadata JSON without network calls.
The app keeps archive scanning local-first: no IPA upload, no automatic App Store Connect API call, and no automatic AI call.
The Mac App Store edition is approved for distribution, with StoreKit subscriptions and Apple-managed updates.

Review Room

The result screen now prioritizes the decision path: verdict, top action, review gates, selected gate detail, evidence, and export actions.

  • Gate statuses are normalized into PASS, RISK, BLOCK, and MANUAL.
  • Critical, warning, and info counts stay visible without repeating the full issue list.
  • Technical evidence remains selectable and grouped under the gate that needs it.

Submission Pack

Exports now read like a submission package for a developer or release manager, while preserving machine-readable artifacts for CI and issue tracking.

  • REVIEW_ROOM.md and REVIEWER_NOTES_DRAFT.md
  • FIX_PLAN.md and APP_STORE_CONNECT_METADATA_CHECKLIST.md
  • ITMS error mapping when logs are provided
  • SARIF, PDF report, and STORE_SHIELD_MACHINE_SUMMARY.json

Local review context

The app can enrich a scan with offline context from review emails, Transporter logs, or metadata JSON.

  • Paste or import ITMS / Transporter content.
  • Paste or import metadata JSON compatible with the scanner input model.
  • Built-in sample scenarios show clean, ITMS-blocked, missing-metadata, and mixed review contexts.

Mac polish

This release also ships the Mac App Store edition and tightens Direct distribution links.

  • Purchase flow includes visible Privacy Policy and Terms of Use links.
  • Window menu can reopen the main StoreShield window after it is closed.
  • The Direct appcast points to a public release notes page.

Fixed and polished

  • English, French, and Spanish website copy avoids accidental cross-locale wording.
  • App Store metadata wording was made safer for trademark review.
  • Empty states, drag-and-drop handling, and context examples were clarified.

Privacy note

StoreShield still processes IPA and xcarchive contents locally. Review context imports are local-only. Optional AI remains explicit and disabled by default.
